Jewish: Only Culture or Absolute State?

Jewish people will not stop their action to make hostility between each people in this world. Not only Moslem community who do not agree with the existence of Israel State, but also all faction from another religion do the same. As Moslem, we see that Jewish is really enemies for Islam and its followers. They (Jewish) will spread nightmares and blood around Moslem and all people.

Allah says:

“Never will the Jews nor the Christians be pleased with you (O Muhammad Peace be upon him ) till you follow their religion. Say: "Verily, the Guidance of Allah (i.e. Islamic Monotheism) that is the (only) Guidance. And if you (O Muhammad Peace be upon him ) were to follow their (Jews and Christians) desires after what you have received of Knowledge (i.e. the Quran), then you would have against Allah neither any Walee (protector or guardian) nor any helper.” (al-Baqarah: 120)

Ehud Barak, one of Israel Leader, had given his statement which flamed Jewish enthusiasm. This is the fact that showing about their aim to form the Promised Land in Middle East:

“The state of Israel is a Jewish state, the national homeland of the Jewish people from all corners of the world. As the generation that lives the Zionist dream, we see ourselves as the inheritors and upholders of the Jewish culture and the glorification of the Hebrew Language. Our essence and identity emanate from our Jewish heritage, and the State of Israel is based on our culture and religious heritage.

Today we are working on designing the State of Israel as a Zionist, Jewish, and Democratic state, a state that is based on the bland and balance Jewish culture and liberal democratic values. A state that expresses its obligation to human values and social justice, based on our Jewish heritage.

The ideal solution between religion and state interchange should be on the basis of dialogue that will include all factions within the public, dialogue that will lead to understanding based on freedom of religion and individual choice.

It the Jewish residents of Israel do not perceive Judaism as their shared heritage and choose not to preserve it, Israel will stop being a Jewish state, therefore a great responsibility rest on the education system. Our youth learn about Judaism and embrace it values.”

So, what is your opinion?

Light Pollution

We usually think of pollution as a harmful waste substance that threatens the air and water. But some people have become concerned about another kind of pollution. It can be everywhere, depending on the time of day. And it is not thought of as a substance. It is light. The idea of light pollution has developed with the increase of lights in cities.

In many areas, this light makes it difficult or impossible to observe stars and planets in the night sky. In 1988, the International Dark-Sky Association formed. This organization wants to reduce light pollution in the night sky. It also urges the effective use of electric lighting. There are a number of reasons why light pollution is important. One has become clear at the Mount Wilson Observatory near Los Angeles, California. Mount Wilson Observatory was home to the largest telescopes in the world during the first half of the 1900's. During that period, Los Angeles grew to become one of America's biggest cities.

Today, light from Los Angeles makes the night sky above Mount Wilson very bright. It is no longer an important research center because of light pollution. Light pollution threatens to reduce the scientific value of research telescopes in other important observatories. They include Lick Observatory near San Jose, California and Yerkes Observatory near Chicago, Illinois. Light pollution is the result of wasted energy. Bright light that shines into the sky is not being used to provide light where it is needed on Earth. Poorly designed lighting causes a great deal of light pollution. Lights that are brighter than necessary also cause light pollution.

Recently, two Italian astronomers and an American environmental scientist created a world map of the night sky. The map shows that North America, Western Europe and Japan have the greatest amount of light pollution. Most people in America are surprised to find out that they are able to see our own galaxy, The Milky Way, with their own eyes. But about three-fourths of Americans cannot see the Milky Way because of man-made light. Objects in the night sky are resources that provide everyone with wonder. But light pollution threatens to prevent those wonderful sights from being seen.
